Finding Privacy for a Primary Bath in the 2nd Floor Sleeping Porch

All rooms on the 2nd floor were occupied and the only space available for the parents' bathroom was the sleeping porch: a room, on the 2nd floor, with windows on 3 walls. The challenge was to create privacy without removing windows-something the Historical Preservation Committee would not have allowed. This puzzle was to my liking! Our clients reached out to Lemon Grass because of our reputation to create clever layouts. My approach was to utilize a wall with windows towards the street as a path to the areas you do absolutely need privacy (shower & tub). We used shades to cover the bottom part of the windows. The double vanity is set away from this wall, the separate toilet stall adjacent to it. A rustic style sliding door closes off the bathroom from the bedroom.
