BUCKINGHAM ROAD
1st Floor Remodel with Kitchen Expansion
The house had been owned by the same family for decades. The last renovation happened in the `80s, when the porch in the back had been enclosed and a powder room carved out in the family room. The kitchen needed an overhaul- not just for the aesthetics but to be more conducive to modern family life as well. We utilized the ample space by seeing kitchen, porch & family room (including the powder room) as the space to work with. We created a mudroom with new powder room on the former porch and connected kitchen with family room. The almost 12‘ long island is at the center of it all. Here the 2 year old toddler started „helping“ her father cooking dinner. During get-togethers with family and friends, it is here where everybody wants to be.
