When life serves you lemons, make lemonade!
Over the past few weeks this proverb turned out to be real good advice.
I am currently working on a kitchen in a gorgeous house in Montclair. The existing kitchen is placed partially in the original 1890ies house and partially in the 1980 addition. Hence we are dealing with different ceiling heights and structurally important beams.
In this design version of the above mentioned proverb, the beams are the lemons.
The new layout allows us to place a coffered ceiling in the center of the new kitchen to define the working area, house the recess, functional lighting as well as integrate the beams.
Viola: lemonade!
