As we just lived through the New York Fashion week for Fall 2015, people will not just be talking at what’s on the runway. Equally enthralling is what people were wearing to the shows, and on the street in general. In every major city, there is a fashion show going on everyday, all around you. Observing other people’s style, not just fashion, inspires us to create our own look.

Fashion used to be directed from the designer to the consumer, but that is now changing. The street, which usually captures the zeitgeist (see our 1/26/15 FaceBook post), is what often inspires the designers these days. Critics have opined that many bloggers and editors who are photographed at the shows are in head-to-toe looks of the designer, with no creative spin of the wearer’s own. Fear of making a fashion “mistake” is ruining street style, as the paparazzi and social media outlets give instant feedback. Since most of us don’t live with that pressure, we can take risks and have fun.
