The name indicates that it is darker tone. But fear not! Adding splashes of red/reddish pink and green (here is my fav again!) actually make it very lively. Also, consider texture. Maybe you don’t want the surface (wall, wainscoting, wooden panels) to be solid? Try using a brush or apply the paint on an already painted surface, like old wainscoting or paneling.
